Please can you tell us a more about Amarra?

Absolutely. Amarra is a luxury fashion brand that I co-founded with a vision to blend enchanting designs with sustainability. Since our inception, we’ve been dedicated to crafting handcrafted attire for formal occasions like proms, homecomings, pageants, and weddings. At Amarra, we bring together exquisite aesthetics, innovation, and a sense of responsibility towards the environment, which is increasingly defining the ethos of our brand.

How have you incorporated eco-friendly practices into your operations?

We’ve woven sustainability into the very fabric of our operations—quite literally, in fact. From using ethically sourced, eco-friendly fabrics to integrating sustainable practices across our production and supply chain, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact. Our designs are made with materials that are produced with respect to both ecological balance and social fairness. Moreover, we strive to minimize waste by optimizing our cutting patterns and repurposing fabric scraps into new designs where possible. These practices not only reflect our brand’s dedication to the planet but also add a layer of depth and value to our customer’s experiences with our garments.

Could you share an example of how your customers have responded to these practices?

Our customers have been incredibly supportive. For instance, one of our clients chose her wedding gown from our line specifically because it was made entirely out of eco-friendly fabrics. She was over the moon not just with the design but also the intention behind it. There’s a shift happening in the mindset of consumers—they’re not just looking for high-quality fashion; they’re also searching for brands that reflect their personal values. Being able to provide that has helped us forge a deeper connection with our clientele.

What are your plans for the future?

Moving forward, we plan to deepen our commitment to sustainability. We’re exploring innovative eco-friendly materials and techniques that could redefine luxury fashion. Additionally, we aim to promote greater transparency throughout our supply chain to empower consumers with the knowledge of where and how their garments are made. On the creative front, we’re always at the vanguard—anticipating fashion trends and translating them into our next captivating collections.

Is there anything else you’d like to include?

Just that at Amarra, we believe in the power of fashion to make a statement—not just in style but also in substance. It’s not just about the external beauty of the dresses we create; it’s also about the story they tell and the impact they have. Ultimately, we want to leave a legacy that’s remembered not only for its aesthetics but for its respect for the planet and its people
