We spoke to Jeff Szur, Chief Operations Officer, Altitude Water, a leading manufacturer and installer of several types of Atmospheric Water Generators (AWG’s) from residential and light commercial machines to heavy duty military-grade machines that produce water anytime, anywhere.
Altitude Water has developed a range of products and solutions. Can you discuss how your product portfolio has evolved to meet the diverse needs of your customers?
Our product portfolio has been shaped by the real-world challenges that our customers face. We started with the core mission of providing pure water to those who need it most, and over time, we’ve expanded our offerings to include solar-powered water generators, disaster relief trailers, and more. Each product is designed with versatility in mind, allowing us to address a wide variety of needs—from disaster relief and military operations to sports facilities and remote communities. As we encounter new challenges, we adapt and innovate to ensure our products meet those specific needs effectively.
With such a wide array of projects under Altitude Water’s belt, how do you decide which new products or technologies to develop next?
Our approach is largely driven by the needs we observe in the field and the feedback we receive from our partners and customers. We prioritize projects that align with our mission of providing sustainable water solutions, but we also remain flexible and open to new ideas. For example, our partnership with New Use Energy Solutions led to the creation of the first solar-powered water generator, which was born out of a need for more sustainable and mobile solutions. We constantly evaluate emerging technologies and market demands to ensure our innovations are relevant and impactful.
We recently took our patented purification process for Air to Water Generators and made a stand alone purification box for well water and/or rainwater capture. This has been tested on Amy Grant’s Farm taking the sulfur out and a couple of other high profile locations. It is now integrated in our Cameroon Africa project.
How does Altitude Water ensure that its offerings remain versatile and adaptable across different industries, from disaster relief to sports and education?
Versatility is at the core of our design philosophy. We understand that the needs of a disaster relief operation differ greatly from those of a sports facility or an educational institution. That’s why we engineer our products to be adaptable, allowing them to perform optimally in a range of environments. For example, our Disaster Relief Trailer is equipped not just with water purification systems, but also with solar power and communication tools, making it a multi-functional asset in any situation. We also collaborate closely with our clients to tailor our solutions to their specific requirements.
Environmental sustainability is a cornerstone of Altitude Water’s mission. How do your products, like the solar-powered water generator, contribute to a greener, more sustainable future?
Sustainability is integral to everything we do at Altitude Water but resiliency is the heart of what we do.Our solar-powered water generator is a prime example of how we integrate eco-friendly practices into our product development. By harnessing renewable solar energy, this generator not only provides clean water but also has minimal environmental impact. It’s a solution that reduces reliance on fossil fuels, cuts down on emissions, and helps protect the planet while addressing a critical need for clean water. We believe that our commitment to sustainability not only benefits the environment but also enhances the long-term viability of our products.
